A number of organisations and churches in Oxford are striving to help the homeless community in a variety of ways.
At St Ebbe’s, we particularly aim to meet needs by extending love and friendship. We help people with food, shelter, setting up bank accounts, accessing benefits etc. We give of our time: offering acceptance, love and friendship. We also talk lots about Jesus.
We particularly welcome the homeless to:
CITY (4:30pm) – one of our main Sunday services. The language is accessible and there’s an informal feel. Hot drinks are available before the service and we always end with a hot meal for all.
OPEN DOOR – Wednesdays, 1:30-3pm. Offering food, friendship and Bible study.
St Ebbe’s is also part of the OWNS project (Oxford Winter Night Shelter) which provides overnight accommodation at the church one night a week over winter months. for more information, please see the web page or contact Kerry Clancy, the Project Manager.
