A Prayer for St Ebbe’s in 2022

Glorious Father,

Please give to us your Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we might know you better.

Open our eyes that we might know the hope to which you have called us and all that we mean to you as your glorious inheritance.

Help us to grasp your incomparably great power for us who believe, the mighty strength that is ours in Christ, whom you have appointed head over everything for the church.

And please strengthen us with that power through your Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith.

Help us together as your people, rooted and established in love, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

By your power may we know this love that surpasses knowledge so that we might be filled to the measure of all your fullness.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus  throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
